Forgive me if one of you’s guys own one of these. Who am I kidding? None of us have this type of money! If you squint really, really hard you might agree with me on this one...
I see a cab over engine, 4x4 diesel truck with an RV trailer bolted to the back with some sheet metal shoved between the cab and living area.
Does anyone else see something different?!
How does this cost 200 large? A bargain compared to an Earth Roamer. Hardly. It might as well be priced at one hundred million dollars. None of us can afford it either way.
Who’s going to buy a used Uhaul with me, do a diesel and 4x4 conversion and bolt an RV trailer to the back?

I concur...that’s what I thought: Someone bolted a Fleetwood trailer to a flatbed. Like a Unimog, I’d like to have one for the weirdness of it, but it’s hugely impractical. I can’t even imagine what sort of boulders you could drive over with that without tipping over....

That’s just a surplus 2.5 ton LMTV. My buddy bought one of those for little under 12k. They should’
ve used the 5 ton variant, its got heavier axles, and twice the carry capacity, and is 6x6. Other than maybe refitting the truck, all that money seems to be going into the camper part, And I’m quite curious as to how they access the engine considering the cab tilts forward, and the cab can’t do that with the top part of the camper covering it. All in All, looks a bit expensive for what it is, and those trucks aren’t the mos
t reliable either.

I think it may be a Coachmen, one of their Ultra-Lite models.

I love how the majority of us see the world in a similar light. HOW IS THIS 200 THOUSAND DOLLARS?! You buddy bought a cab chassis for 12k...

Actually Coors original right now. But I don’t mind Landsh ark. It’s a little watery tasting but aren’t all lagers?

The truck component is relatively cheap. Biggest cost on the truck is usually the conversion to super single wheels and tyres.
The rest is in the body...and that’s where the costs mount up fast because they are usually hand made so labour is the biggest input. Then there’s the specialist fit out components.
I could probably build one of these for under a hundred grand based on a new rig and perhaps under sixty based on used. Much much less if based on 2WD with a diff lock. But it would have the lifestyle attributes of a shed...and it still wouldn’t be camping...
The other option is to drop a caravan on the truck...
